The first was the HTC EVO 3D, which required the audience put on special glasses for the presentation. The phone has a 4.3-inch 3D screen that is no glassed required, as it shoots 3D pictures and video with two 5 Megapixel camera. It is identical reminiscent of the LG Thrill and its 3D features, which makes me wonder if this will be the thing to have on your phone in the next few years.
The second was the HTC EVO View 7-inch tablet. This isn’t HTC’s first foray into the tablet world, but Mackenzie stated that they took their time getting this one. Part of what makes the View different is that a digital pen known as the Scribe can do a lot more with notetaking than most tablets. I saw a demonstration of it after the session was done, and it looks like a student may not have to bring pen and paper to the classroom again with this tablet.
That’s two new impressive products, and both of them can be used as a hotspot. Unfortunately, HTC could not give me a specific price, and were very general about their release date as “some time in the summer”.
